Ohio State defensive ends Zach Harrison and JT Tuimoloau, and linebacker Tommy Eichenberg have been named First-Team All-Big Ten selections.
The Big Ten released it’s All-Conference defensive team on Tuesday, as well as its defensive awards. The offensive awards will be released on Wednesday.
Eichenberg was named to the first team by both the coaches and media. He is currently third in the Big Ten with 112 tackles, but his 72 solo tackles are 18 more than anybody else. He is also fourth in the B1G with 12.0 tackles for loss. The TFLs are the most for an Ohio State middle linebacker since Matt Wilhelm had 19.5 in 2002.
Tuimoloau was named first-team by the conference coaches, while Harrison made it via the media. Tuimoloau has posted 28 tackles. 11.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two interceptions, a fumble forced, and one touchdown.
Harrison has tallied 30 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, four passes broken up, and an interception.
There were no Second-Team selections for the Buckeyes.
Third-Team honorees for Ohio State were defensive tackle Mike Hall (media), safety Ronnie Hickman (coaches and media), and kicker Noah Ruggles (media).
Honorable Mention selections were cornerback Denzel Burke, safety Lathan Ransom, defensive end Jack Sawyer, linebacker Steele Chambers, safety Tanner McCalister, defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, and punter Jesse Mirco.
