Future Is Bright For 2025 LB/DE Justin Hill

CINCINNATI – Winton Woods high school is still celebrating its 2022 State Championship but the pressure after winning one title is winning the next one.

With rising talent ready to take on larger roles, it may be tough to bet against Winton Woods. Linebacker Justin Hill is a member of the class of 2025 and while there may be some debate if he is a linebacker or a defensive end at the next level, there is no denying that Hill is going to continue to draw a lot of attention as more offers come in.

With double-digit offers including ones from Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky and Purdue to name a few, expect the list to continue to grow.

Ohio State has not offered yet but that is not all that uncommon with in-state players who are going into their junior season. But that does not mean that Ohio State is not well-aware of Hill and Hill is not unfamiliar with Ohio State.

“I know they’re a great program,” Hill said. “I watched them all my life. They’re basically like the ideal school that I grew up watching. Basically, being from Ohio, my whole family are Ohio State fans, so I was, I am a fan of them also, so they’re just a school that I look up to. So, they’re high on my recruiting list for sure.”

People may not realize how young a member of the class of 2025 is, that means Hill was born in 2007, five years after Ohio State’s National Championship win over Miami (Fla.). That doesn’t mean that Hill has not seen an Ohio State championship season but remember that magical 2014 season took place when Hill was just seven years old.

“I’m a young kid, a 2007 boy, so like I was a kid watching Ohio State, but when I really locked in and became like a hard fan of them, it was that 2014 season with Zeke Elliot and all them,” Hill added.

As mentioned earlier, there may be some debate for what position Hill will end up at in college, but he is already embracing being able to play multiple positions and that will help Winton Woods stay on top.

I feel like I can play all three linebacker positions, including the defensive end and the edge spot. So, I feel that I’m very good and I’m confident in my skills and my athleticism to get the job done wherever I’m doing and wherever I’m at.”
