I think the bigger question now should be asked, why is Northwestern still in the B1G? What exactly do they provide as an asset to the conference? They earn millions each year in B1G TV revenue, and have generally spent very little in bringing their facilities up to high school level. They are not competitive as a whole in nearly every sport, but they get the benefit of a conference that generates multimillions in revenue. When we talk expansion, we should also be looking at retraction and Northwestern should be the first school ousted from the conference. With this move, their football team will be a joke for years, its time to get rid of them once and for all.
