Buckeyes Cover All of the Bases with Justin Hill

Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods LB/EDGE Justin Hill continues to be right at the top of the recruiting wish list for the Buckeyes. The Top 100 prospect recently made his official visit to Columbus as he embarks on a four-school official visit tour this month, ahead of his July 3rd decision date.

Hill has of course been to Ohio State numerous times during his recruiting process, but the Buckeyes were able to once again sit down with him and reiterate not only how important he is to their recruiting class, but exactly how they envision him fitting in on the field in Columbus.

“It was a phenomenal visit,” Hill recently told BuckeyeHuddle.com. “I got the whole view of what they want from me as a player and as somebody in their system at the JACK position.”

Ohio State’s defensive staff has hinted that this is the season where the JACK position will be more utilized in the defense. Sitting down with the staff and having those types of conversations was the most important item of business on the trip for Hill.

“It was big,” he said. “There were question marks about my position and what they wanted me to do. That was really my main goal going up there. That and just seeing how the players live day in and day out. So that was definitely one of my big accomplishments (from the visit) so I’m happy I got it all covered.”

Hill also was able to spend time with numerous Ohio State players, as well as other recruits, on the visit to get feedback on what it is really like to be a part of the program.

“I hung out with Jermaine Mathews, Jeremiah Smith, Brandon Inniss, Jelani Thurman, Davison (Igbinosun), and a lot of recruits,” he explained. “It was a great weekend, I met a lot of new people.”

Now Hill will take one more visit this weekend to Oregon before he goes into decision mode.

“I’m just going to take that week and a half (between the Oregon visit and decision date) to figure out what I want,” he said.
