COLUMBUS – There was action once again at the WHAC on Wednesday as Ohio State hosted its third camp of the month for high schoolers.
It can be a big stage for many players, coming from their smallish towns to be put through the paces by the Ohio State coaches and many other coaches from the MAC and beyond.
But for Shaker Heights (Ohio) athlete Trey McNutt, the stage was not too big. It was the same stage that his father, Richard, participated on more than 20 years ago.
The elder McNutt is now a coach at Tennessee State under former Buckeye star Eddie George, but for Trey, now is the time to get better as a member of the class of 2025. There are still two more seasons of high school football left to be played and recruiting will take care of itself.
We caught up with McNutt after the event to talk about his own game and much more. Check it out.
