Ohio State landed its top offensive line priority in the 2025 recruiting class on Saturday afternoon, securing the commitment of Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer star Carter Lowe. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect picked Ohio State over Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and many others to become commitment No. 7 for the Buckeyes in the 2025 class.
Ohio State offered Lowe early in the process as a Buckeyes vs. Wolverines battle brewed. Lowe’s interest went national as a junior with SEC programs entering the mix but it never felt like the Top 100 prospect would leave the Midwest. Ohio State gained momentum throughout the fall and winter and Lowe is now the first offensive lineman to commit to the Buckeyes in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
This commitment puts a big stamp on what has been a massive month of January for the Ohio State program. The Buckeyes landed three Top 100 recruits in the 2025 class in Lowe, five-star corner Devin Sanchez, and four-star defensive end Zahir Mathis.
The Buckeyes also picked up four-star defensive lineman Dominic Kirks and made several huge splashes in the transfer portal, most notably landing Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins, Alabama safety Caleb Downs, and Alabama quarterback Julian Sayin.
Stay tuned to BuckeyeHuddle.com for more on the big commitment as we’re live from Toledo today.
