Class of 2025 Plantation (FL) American Heritage running back Byron Louis has not been a stranger around Ohio State. The four-star prospect has been to Columbus numerous times and has set his latest return visit with a date of April 10th.
It will be important in the coming weeks for new Ohio State running backs coach Carlos Locklyn to begin connecting with the Buckeyes’ top targets, many of whom he already has a relationship with. Louis is one of the Buckeye running back targets who is already familiar with Locklyn.
“The good thing about coach Locklyn is that we have always kept in touch,” Louis told BuckeyeHuddle.com this week. “He’s a great guy. He always has inspirational words.”
Louis had recently stated that Ohio State was a top school on his list of contenders. Part of that was, of course, his relationship with Tony Alford, but that’s clearly not the only thing about the Buckeyes that has kept Louis’ interest during his recruiting recruiting process.
The Buckeyes are hoping for a seamless transition and Louis is still excited about the program.
“My thoughts on coach Locklyn has always been the same (as with Alford), great guy and great coach,” Louis added. “I’m excited for him and OSU.”
Louis has made visits to Florida State and Miami (FL) over the last two weekends as those two programs remain among Ohio State’s stiffest competition.
