FORT WORTH – The Buckeyes have not been chasing class of 2025 offensive lineman Henry Fenuku for long but since getting involved, Ohio State has made some waves in the recruitment of the 6-foot-4, 295-pounder.
Offensive line coach Justin Frye had a chance to see the three-star lineman work out and was impressed enough to offer Fenuku. That was followed up with an unofficial visit and that will be followed up with an official visit set to take place at the end of the week.
An accelerated timetable, for certain.
“Just to speak about the Buckeyes, it’s great,” Fenuku said. “To get down there to Ohio State, it’s amazing. Being in the trophy room, just to look around at some of the players and the history. You just feel the development. You want to be a part of something so great. You just want to be, you just want to set the best for yourself and make the right decision.”
Obviously the unofficial went well for an official to be so close on the heels of the first trip.
“I went there just to talk to Coach (Ryan) Day and Coach Frye and (their) coaching skills were so amazing, just made everything feel right, just to be around the environment.”
The official visit will also give Fenuku a chance to share the visit with people close to him as he came up on his own to the unofficial. The May 31st official visit will allow him to bring his dad and coach up with him from Fort Worth to Columbus.
Fenuku will follow up his visit to Ohio State with visits to Missouri (June 7th), Georgia (June 14th) and USC (June 21st).
After visits, Fenuku would like to sit down with is family and discuss what he has seen and what could be next for the 2025 star.
