Ohio State was able to get a number of key in-state prospects back on campus recently when the Buckeyes hosted Iowa. Among those visitors was Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius four-star offensive lineman Will Conroy. Conroy is one of a few priority Ohio linemen that the Buckeyes have targeted early in the class of 2026 cycle.
“It went very well,” said Conroy of the visit. “The O-Line is coming together and building that chemistry for sure.”
Conroy was able to reconnect with Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye on the visit.
“(We were) just talking about how they are going to go into the game, the game plan, and the scheme,” Conroy recalled.
The Buckeyes beat Iowa 35-7 that day, behind a strong running game.
With Conroy’s recruitment, there has been a lot of speculation about where things stand with the Buckeyes and over the summer it looked like Ohio State might be slipping in the four-star prospect’s recruitment.
Conroy released a Top 5 in July that didn’t include Ohio State. But Ohio State has never went away and the recent visit was a good step.”
“They’re trending in the right direction.”
