Ohio State continues to look to the transfer portal when it comes to filling gaps in the roster and the Buckeyes added another talented defender on Tuesday in Northwestern transfer linebacker Nigel Glover.
Glover, a native of Ohio who played his high school football at Clayton Northmont, entered the transfer portal recently after Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald was let go by the program.
Glover is just a true freshman, signing with Northwestern in the 2023 recruiting class. Coming out of high school, Glover was considered a four-star prospect and a Top 10 recruit in the state of Ohio but was not offered by the Buckeyes at that time.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect made three official visits after entering the portal including a trip to Ohio State late last week. It is expected that Glover will help the Buckeyes at linebacker but could also be a candidate for the JACK position. He’ll have five years left to play four.
BuckeyeHuddle.com will have more on this news and what this transfer addition means for the Buckeyes.
