Alabama has landed a commitment from Winton Woods (Cincinnati, OH) edge rusher Justin Hill.
In a year where Ohio State has gone in and landed commitments from two of the best prospects out of Alabama in cornerback Na’eem Offord and defensive end Zion Grady, new Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer has returned the favor by gaining the commitment of Justin Hill, who is ranked the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio.
Hill (6-3 220) took official visits over the past five weeks to Ohio State, USC, Alabama, and Oregon. He also held offers from Michigan, Florida State, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Penn State, and others.
Hill is ranked the No. 4 edge rusher in the 2025 class per the 247Sports Composite and the No. 58 player overall.
As a junior last season, Hill finished with 36 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. He has also been timed in the 11.6 range in the 100-meter dash. He was named a Division II All-State selection at linebacker as a junior.
Even without Hill, Ohio State currently has three edge rushers committed in the 2025 recruiting class in Alabama’s Zion Grady, Philadelphia’s Zahir Mathis, and IMG Academy’s London Merritt. All three of them are among the top 135 players in the nation.
The Buckeyes also have commitments from defensive tackles Maxwell Roy out of Philadelphia and Trajen Odom out of North Carolina.
Ohio State currently 22 commitments in a 2025 recruiting class that still ranks No. 1 nationally.
Buckeye Huddle will have more from Justin Hill’s commitment ceremony very soon.
