The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes got off to a shaky start, falling behind Rutgers for the first time in nine meetings, but quickly rebounded to crush the Scarlet Knights, 49-10.
The game featured a school record-tying five rushing touchdowns by RB Miyan Williams, receiving scores by Marvin Harrison, Jr. and Julian Fleming, an interception by Steele Chambers, and a fumble recovery by Mike Hall.
Late in the game, a late hit on a fake punt set off a skirmish along the Ohio State sideline that ended with head coaches Ryan Day and Greg Schiano face-to-face on the Buckeyes’ sidelines.
