St. Clair Could Decide ‘Soon’

COLUMBUS – Bellfontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair put on a show at Ohio State’s 7-on-7 event on Wednesday afternoon but many of the people who were there to take it in were more interested in his recruitment than the event itself.

Tavien did not disappoint as he talked to the media during the event letting a little insight into his thought process and timeline.

“I think it will be soon,” St. Clair said of a decision for one school or another. “I am ready to start building the class around me and be the focal point for our school. So, I think sometime soon.”

The Buckeyes have only offered just three quarterbacks in the class of 2025, St. Clair being one of them and St. Clair has been a regular visitor to the Ohio State campus during the June camp season.

St. Clair has grown from 180-pounds last season to 216 pounds, has a better grasp on the position and is just taking what defenses are giving to him. He really has shown the growth that fans had hoped to see over the course of the last year.

And other players take notice as well. Ohio State always is very keen on the idea of a quarterback taking the lead in a recruiting class and surrounding himself with talent. A message not lost on St. Clair.

“They also speak to me about if I were that guy about building the class around me because they think that they can do that with the help of a quarterback and that they feel like if he is high profile, he can get anybody he wants,” St. Clair said. “That is the main focus really, to have the best team that you can have.”

Find out more of what St. Clair had to say on Wednesday during his interview session, you could be listening to the next Ohio State quarterback commit and may not have to wait too long for it to become official.
