As Ohio State has stabilized its offensive coaching staff, the Buckeyes have been able to reconnect with their top quarterback targets in the 2026 recruiting class. That will result in a pair of big upcoming visits from two of the nation’s very best signal callers.
First up will be Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit star Will Griffin who will be in Columbus next weekend. Griffin earned an offer from Ohio State after a tremendous camp performance last June.
“I’m locked in for my next visit to Ohio State, next Tuesday March 19th,” Griffin informed BuckeyeHuddle.com on Tuesday. “Can’t wait to meet coach (Chip) Kelly and see coach (Ryan) Day.”
Next up will be Nashville (Tenn.) Christian star Jared Curtis. Curtis was initially expected to visit in late January but those plans were postponed when Day went in a different direction with the offensive staff, replacing Corey Dennis.
At first, that move seemed to spook Curtis a bit, but he has since slowed things down and reconnected with Ohio State. His visit is set for April 1st and will be his first time in Columbus since watching the Buckeyes dismantle Michigan State this past fall.
The timing of these visits is critical for Ohio State. The Buckeyes saw a revolving door at quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator this winter. Getting a couple of their top targets back to campus quickly after stabilizing things by bringing in Chip Kelly affords them the opportunity to try to keep momentum going there.
BuckeyeHuddle.com will have more on these prospects, and all of the spring visitors, as things play out over the next few weeks.
